Anjali Nayyar is executive vice president at Global Health Strategies. She has more than 18 years of experience working in the global health sector. Her expertise lies in developing integrated advocacy and communications strategies aimed at impacting health policy and practice in developing countries and emerging markets. Prior to GHS, she worked for Program for Appropriate Technology on Health (PATH) in India as the country director and then as the vice president for national and regional programs at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). She has also been a communications specialist and project director at the Population Council Regional Office, South and East Asia. She holds membership of various groups and institutions including the Immunization Action Group (IAG), the Scientific Advisory Group of the Public Health Foundation of India, the Expert Group on Tuberculosis Prevention, the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Healthcare Council, and the External Advisory Group of The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s (BMGF) India Policy, Advocacy and Communication Strategy.
