Gurcharan Das is an author, commentator, and public intellectual. He was CEO of Procter & Gamble India and later Managing Director of Procter & Gamble Worldwide (Strategic Planning) before he became a full time writer. He writes a regular column for five Indian newspapers and contributes to The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal and Foreign Affairs.
He is the author of the much acclaimed – The Difficulty of Being Good: On the Subtle Art of Dharma. His earlier book – India Unbound was an international bestseller, published in many languages and filmed by BBC. His other literary works include a novel – A Fine Family, book of essays – The Elephant Paradigm, and an anthology – Three Plays.
