Rudrani is a TG/MSM/Hijra activist from New Delhi who has been involved in community and HIV activism for over 12 years. She is founder and managing director of Mitr Trust, the first MSM/TG/Hijra community-based organisation that works on HIV/AIDS prevention and rights amongst the MSM, transgender and Hijra population. She is also founder and managing director of Sexual Minority Male Association for Rights(SMARt) in New Delhi, which exclusively works for MSM/TG/Hijra people living with HIV or AIDS. She is board of member of Parivartan Trust, a transgender and Hijra community based organisation and also, she is advisory committee member, governing board member of various networks like INFOSEM, State Training and Research Centre and other local committees working for Transgender and Hijras. She is actively engaged in dialogue with government bodies like social ministry of justice and welfare, Government of India to raise community concern and voice. She also has experience in working with various national and international agencies like Swedish International Development cooperation Agency (SIDA), Elton John Foundation, GFATM, Department for International Development (DFID).
