Professor Vivekanand Jha is the executive director of the George Institute India, a professor of Nephrology at the University of Oxford, UK, and the president-elect of the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology. With a substantial research track record, Prof. Jha is recognised as a global expert on kidney disease and its socioeconomic impact in low-middle income countries. He is currently leading research projects in over 20 countries worldwide. Prof. Jha is a member of the Task Forces and Scientific Advisory Committees of the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) and is an advisor to the WHO. He chairs the Education Committee of the International Society of Nephrology and has had leadership roles for the Transplantation Society and International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis. Prof. Jha is also the chair of the Asian Renal Consortium.
